(click pictures to see these amazing transformations upclose) Dear Frustrated Mom, Let me share my embarrassing story with you My Name is Laura and I used to be a fat and frumpy mom. I was the mom youd see, lookingdisheveled and stressed out,when you dropped your kids off at school.
Most mornings Id get dressed in the dark and felt lucky if my socks matched Yup, that was me. Looking back, I now know that it wasnt my wardrobe choices that made me feel frumpy it was my fat body underneath. I had lost my confidence, identity and happiness when it was replaced by several pounds of baby fat. I desperately wanted to be the young, cute and fit mom but I just couldnt seem muster up the energy to get there.
Even though I am young, I felt OLD, UGLY and FAT.
Since youre a mom (you wouldnt be reading this if you werent) you can probably relate to the feeling of not having any energy and motivation left at the end of the day, after caring forfamily of 2 young children, a husband, a house and a dog! Every day I would wake up exhausted and go to bed feeling the exact same way. Id start the mornings with, today is the day Im gonna get back to the gym or my diet starts today.
And every day would end the same, with a lot of disappointment. I couldnt understand why it was so difficult to get my body and life back under control. I mean, I wasnt always like this Before I had kids, I was in great shape, I exercised regularly, I enjoyed eating healthy foods, and mostimportantlyI was energetic and beamed with self-confidence. Of course,probably much like you, that all changed after having my first kid.
